After watching some of the speeches I gotta say.....there are a lot of articulate, smart, energetic young people out there. Some pretty emotional and inspirational things said today. Great to see.
I hope they keep the momentum going for the next few years until some of those NRA-friendly politicians are gone and something will actually get done in that country. Banning bump stocks and raising purchase age sounds neat and all but it's just nibbling around the edges. The average citizen doesn't need and shouldn't have assault style guns. Start there and see what happens. Clearly doing nothing isn't working. Do something substantial and hopefully some of these mass shootings will at least slow down. At least these kids are giving me some hope for that country.
