CHL
You have 2 years to sign a player drafted. If undrafted second time, they are UFA. After 4 years they can become a UFA, regardless.
NCAA
You have 4 years to sign a college player until they become a UFA.
What exactly is the loophole?
You retain rights for 4 years instead of 2 initially, and both players are UFA eligible after 4 years.

Is it that hard to see.
What value does a CHL player get from staying beyond 2 years?nthey go back in the random draft and wait 2 more years to be UFA except a CHL player is done at 20 not 22+ like NCAA
An NCAA player gets the benefit of a degree (in Fox’s case Ivy League) and then pick their team of choice
