It’s a bit ridiculous I think. It wasn’t the defence’s fault, Gulutzan specifically coaches the team to not score any goals so how can we blame the D? He says every single day in practice “Boys I want you to fire every shot you take from a terrible angle and if that’s not possible you send it directly in the opposing goalie’s chest. The underlying numbers show we’re about to go on a tear here.”
Blaming the defence is silly.
