The down hill and other alpine events would have to go to Lake Louise or Whistler.

There would absolutely HAVE to be at least one more large arena built....without any money from the Flames at this point because of Nenshi's negotiating prowess.

And the biggest one of all, is a stadium. If one of those isnt included you can just go full stop on the whole thing immediately. McMahon is barely adequate for football games any more. You want something that holds 35-40,000 people for opening and closing ceremonies? Need something new.

The oval has held up very well. It would be fine with some minor upgrades etc.

Where does the curling go though? It was on every single day of Pyeongchang and even 2 days before it officially started.

Then you can start on the roads and LRT and all the associated infrastructure costs along with whatever the security bill would be....and you just know that the final numbers will literally be BILLIONS over the current estimate. Maybe they should just do like Notley and borrow 15 Billion, build whatever they want and worry about how to pay it back some other time?
Curling could go to Winsport or the Corral(https://www.winsport.ca/winsportarena/#/view/ID394)

They have also talked about holding the ceremonies at the Grandstand which sits about 17,000 but lots of room for temporary seating.

And on the Arena... There is no way the Flames allow a new arena to be built with out there involvement. If during this process an arena was announced they would be first in line offering the money that they have in the past. Because what is being argued is the City contribution... The City wants either rent or property tax to recoup their investment. If the Federal and Provincial Governments cover that cost, it removes the biggest sticking point.
