I believe the plan for curling was to put it in our new fieldhouse.

The single line in the city information about the field house titles it a “field house (+ ice plant)” and previous work by the Calgary Bid Exploration Committee has said a Foothills field house would be used for curling and wheelchair events during a potential 2026 Olympics.

The only ski event that would need to be at Lake Louise is the downhill, all others could run at Nakiska or COP. And from the sounds of things, it is likely Parks will allow that, with buses used for all transport. Athletes, media, spectators, all with buses. Word is, Lake Louise is banking on some Olympic money to fund their expansion plan.
