I know the story on Stajan is that he is a great guy. That may be true, but he was a disappointment as a hockey player. The Flames made a terrible trade to bring him in and re-signed him at a terrible number.
I am sure this is an unpopular opinion, because CP clearly loves the guy.

The difference is who you blame for him not meeting expectations, or even who you blame for having those expectations. I hold that on the GM. It's not his fault that he is what he is. If he were traded for a 5th, I feel like your opinion would be different. From what I can tell, you hold the trade value and contract values lost against the player. I hold it against management.
