Why would the Flyers trade a consistent 30 goal scorer who plays with an edge? And if they did...why for Brodie?
Provorov and Gostisbehere have surpassed him already. But Morin, Myers, Hagg, Sanheim, etc. are making the basis for a very good young defensive group. What they may need is a defensive minded veteran to provide a calming effect and provide rock solid defense. That's who they should be targeting if they are looking at moving Simmonds. That's not Brodie.
But Simmonds is one of the highest scoring right-wingers in the league, in the last couple seasons only Kane, Kucherov and Tarasenko have scored more than him. And he's making under 4M....
