I am not a fan of what they have done this year but they haven't thrown around crazy money that will get them in trouble and if they can add a decent arm, even Meche, then they have an outside shot at the Wild Card I guess.

I think even last off-season most of us were saying they could compete if the rotation stayed healthy they could compete.
But with Chacin, Burnett and Doc all missing significant time - they were fuggered. It will be the same this year. They need to stay healthy.
That being said, its worth noting the Jays had more wins than the eventual WC champion Cardinals. So its not like they were bad - just not good enough.
