I don't think Gulutzan is a good coach, but part of the reason he became the coach IMO is because Calgary has a reputation for being impatient with coaches and most established coaches with other offers on the table, likely didn't want to coach the Flames partly for that reason.
It's too bad, because I think Gulutzan has to go, but I foresee another off-the-grid coach coming in, not one who has made a name for himself as an NHL head coach already.
