"I believe when GG was hired the organization spoke about hiring a young coach who would grow with the team. Well, this is growing with the team. It's not going to be a straight line to the cup. There are going to be ups & downs. If they fired him, it would be an about face from where they were two years ago. "
This has likely been mentioned elsewhere, but there are too many places where these comments could have been posted, so I apologize if this is a total repeat. At the CNRL shareholders meeting for the quarterly reports Murray Edwards specifically mentioned that they feel they are stronger by keeping the group (management and coaching) rather than having the constant carousel. He referenced this talking about hockey and teams that have had consistentcy versus constant change. Sorry I don't have the exact quote, the meeting may still be available on video if someone cares to look for it, but essentially it says to me that Treliving is safe , which I support, and I would not be shocked if GG sticks around due to this thought "process ". While I like the idea of not swapping coaching and management frequently like the coilers, I wish GG was not so stubborn and oblivious to the idea of changes to his system, player deployment and in game changes. Take this for what it is, but I wanted to add this in case it wasn't commented on, or got buried elsewhere.
