Yep, a lot of teams actually purposely go back and forth between players coaches and the other guys as teams tend to roll over the players guys eventually and tune out the harsh guys eventually.
If he gives us a three years of buy in and excellent results (and he's had some excellent results in his career) then I'd be down for it, for sure.
And to be honest, yes I do believe one thing holding the team back is not so much not having someone to yell at them, but having someone that commands the team and commands commitment. Someone where maybe not every player is happy all the time, but they know when they get to the rink they have to give their all or there will be accountability.
