I would like to convince myself, that the Flames are "close to" or "only one deal away from" being "comfortably in the playoff spot". And then it dawns on me that it would be exactly the same miscalculation that Treliving made last offseason. If Treliving believes that trading Brodie for scoring winger will make us a 100 point club, we are in trouble. Just like last season he figured we are a starting goalie and top 4 rhd away from being a 100 points club.
