How many coaches do they let Tre fire, and how many contracts do they let him buy out? Between this year and next the flames will have paid lance bouma 1.5 million not to play for the Flames. The more i think about it, a simple hockey ops decision to buyout brouwer might not be so simple for the Flames.

It's unlikely that they would be paying Gulutzan next year. It's been widely speculated that next year is a club option year for Gulutzan. If they choose not to pick up the option, I just hope they do it in a timely manner so he has a chance to search for assistant coaching jobs or maybe a HC spot in the AHL or Europe.
