This is a team that management believed would get 100 points. They're going to end up well short because GG is a garbage coach that limits quick transitions, north-south hockey, defence activation, and creativity. Its not the players; its the coach. The result of missing the playoffs was clearly predictable 12 games into the season because GG has them playing a style of hockey that is low intensity, passive and generates a lack of high quality scoring chances.
Hockey is meant to be played fast and hard. The flames play the opposite.
