Enjoyed the movie overall, but have to agree with Itse's Afrokitsh comment. The most advanced nation in the world technologically has a military of tribal warriors riding around on rhinos? Seriously?!? Just because they're African? Hahaha. Actually had me laugh out loud in the theatre. I hope they have Wolverine riding a moose and Captain America mount up on a bison in the next movie. Not to mention the street they walk through that is like some old-school market, as if that is some sort of representation of African culture instead of just representing a stage of economic development. I mean, I see those types of markets if I go out in the countryside of China too, but we sure don't have them in Shanghai or Shenzhen anymore. Wakanda is supposed to have kept them around into super development because "that's African culture" or something? Or maybe they're just for the tourists...

A bunch of this movie felt like it just came out of weird American cultural race issues mixed with a strangely idealised view of Africa that in itself seemed to rely on some stereotyping and was playing up to an American audience to give them what they want in the standard model of traditionally white Hollywood. Confusing.

Edit: The more I think about all that, I kind of suspect and hope that twenty years from now people will be looking back on this as a movie with a lot of stuff in very poor taste. It feels like a bit of 'the myth of the noble savage' applied to Africa but validated when looking through the contextual lens of American racial problems. Really weird.

Anyways, I enjoyed the movie. Thought the acting overall was really good, though I agree the lead is a bit dry. Really liked the sister character. Hope she returns in future movies. The villains were both very good too. Main villain was strong and the guy who played Golem in LOTR was a great character.

Not my favourite of all Marvel movies, but definitely worth the watch. Whoever did the sound for the movie did a great job too.

I just saw it in China too. Sometimes I wonder if parts have been edited out because there was very little action in this movie. The car scene near the beginning was good but other than that...Meh.

I liked the guy who.played the leader of the mountain people. He was funny and likeable. Lead character was boring.

Logan and the original Xmen movies are.the only superhero movies I've ever liked.

Everytime I go see a superhero movie I promise I'm done with them but I always fall for the hype.

I find it strange how Marvel.movies get great reviews and DC get garbage reviews. Both of.them are pretty mediocre most of.the time. Disney just knows who to.pay is.my guess.
