most of us (there's like 5) are complete jackasses who don't know anything.
If that is the case, and I'm not trying to be a jackass at all here, but you certainly aren't the only ones. It's rare we get a good foundation to work on. My boss will complain to the guy at Trico and then they'll be good for a while and then they start to slip up again.

You and peter12 are right though, construction is a really good area to get into. Other than how tired it makes me, I can't complain, not even about the weather. The pay is damn good considering my experience level and the guys I work with are pretty easy going so when I f up they don't lose it. But yea, as long as you have lots of energy and aren't afraid to get your hands a little dirty, there are many areas of construction worth looking into.

I know the city of Calgary is dying for workers in that area. This guy my boss knows who works up in the same area as us, both of his guys quit on him and now he's by himself. He ran ads looking for someone for 2 or 3 weeks and didn't get a call. Makes me wonder sometimes about all these welfare cases and unemployed folk. I just got a raise and it's mainly because I just show up everyday and try hard. The boss says it's nearly impossible to find someone like that.
