They wouldn't be rolling the dice on a Hamonic acquisition if they didn't absolutely nail it in recent drafts. Getting Andersson, Kylington, Mangiapane, Tkachuk, Parsons, Dube, Fox, Phillips, Valimaki, and then maybes in Ruzicka, Fischer and Joly is a pretty good haul.

I'm sure they're not getting too excited about the '17 late round picks yet, it's early, but of that total group it looks like they have 4 upper roster defenseman, a starter and another three forwards that will play.

That allows you to move picks to help out the now.

If they're wrong, if the core isn't the one to build around then it's a mistake, but I certainly see what they're doing.

And it doesn't get magically done in one off season.
Andersson, Kylington, Mangiapane,Parsons, Dube, Fox, Phillips, Valimaki, and then maybes in Ruzicka, Fischer and Joly is a pretty good haul......until one of these prospects you mentioned start to make an impact in the NHL, they are just that, prospects outside of the NHL. Not having a first or second this year followed by no 2nd or 3rds next year given the teams performance is an utter disappointment that is on the GM's hands.
