How many years have we been beating the same drum? How many coaches do we need to go through, before we admit it's the players?

Maybe we need to hire some more player shrinks to work on their mental state, again. These players are mentally weak, they have been long before GG came aboard (i'm all for firing GG, it's just not going to change the players weak mental states).

Some People would blame Iginla's leadership abilities, some would blame the coach at the time. Iginla is gone, the coaches have been changed numerous times, same mental weakness.
Were Gaudreau, Monahan, Giordano, Brodie and Backlund mentally weak in 2015? A huge part of our core was the same core that made up the "never say die" Flames that fought through adversity like it was nobody's business. Since then the only truly "core" additions are Tkachuk and Hamilton, with Hamilton sort of replacing Brodie as a core D. Tkachuk's been arguably the clutchest player on our team this year - our few third period comebacks have tended to start with a huge Tkachuk goal or assist.

When you look at the players on the ice when we're falling apart, it's our core guys. Last night the centers on the ice for goals against were Backlund, Monahan, Monahan, and Backlund. The night before it was Monahan, and Backlund. How does the same core of players go from mentally strong to mentally weak if mental strength is an inherent trait of the players?
