Spoiler!
It still feels like the end for two of the major episodes.
The Loth Wolf wasn't as much Kanan as an extension of his will. with the Temple secured and the Tie Defender factory off line, Kanan's mission is done now. It felt like the end of him at the end of the episode.
When Ezra and Ashoka separated and Ezra told her to come find him, and she walked into the temple on Malichor, it very much felt like the end for her character as well. Ezra didn't really change her fate, as she returned to where she ended up. She was there to give him one last lesson on letting go.
I thought that they really nicely hinted at a different fate for Ezra in the temple when he realized that he could use the World between World to control fate, and even "Save the one you love". This was clearly made to end any notion of Ezra falling, lets face it, if Anakin had figured out how to use the Temple, Padme wouldn't be dead.
I wonder what the cost of saving her would be.
Lets say that Padme didn't die.
Would Vader have beaten Kenobi? Its possible.
Would Padme have stayed with Vader and tried to save him or would she have fled?
If Vader had beaten Kenobi and not been destroyed. How long would it have taken for his hunger for power to compel him to kill Sheev?
What would a true chosen one in control of his power been like?
Also if Palpatine had found a way to take the Temple, what would have he wanted to change?
I mean up until that point, everything had worked out perfectly, so does he view the future. Does he sit back and watch past events like a best of Sheev show? does he reach into the past for a diet coke?
