Gillies put up a .923 save %, and he looked good. He got beat twice, and that happens - but this really is a "3-2" league. I'd say Gillies, in his starts, has looked excellent.

In 3 starts, Gillies is rocking a .946 save percentage, is 2-1-0, and holds a 1.67GAA with only 5 goals against.

I think one of my favourite moments for Gillies was last night after the game. He spoke directly to the fact that he lost the goaltending battle. That's awesome. No fluff, no nothing - he views games as 1 v 1 battle between himself and the opponent's goaltender. I love that mindset. No excuses, it's just a simple task of being better than the guy at the other end of the rink.

I'm a huge Gillies fan, and what he's done so far this year is definitely giving me hope for what he'll be moving forward.
