Stewart at least made some nice plays, had a couple shots ect.
He also hasn't even practiced with the team and surely has some stuff to learn. Most of our team took how many months to learn the system. I think some people were just looking hard for his faults tonight. He is also NOT SLOW

I'm not sure we watched the same game. Stewart only attempted a single shot, and it was after he was moved to Backlund's line. He had the one good pass to Monahan, which was the only play he made that I'd categorize as good. He also fumbled a number of passes and passed into defenders' skates. His forechecking was essentially useless - he played the body but also stopped dead and made no attempt to get his stick on the puck, so Dallas easily moved the puck around him and broke out whenever he was the first forechecker. And defensively he struggled to get the puck out and had a handful of plays where he was just coasting with no attempt to cover anyone, including the first Dallas goal (Monahan did the same thing on that one, to be fair).
Gaudreau and Monahan spent the majority of the first 40 in their own zone, and the majority of the 3rd in Dallas's zone, and Stewart definitely played a part in that.
