I get the Stewart try on the first line. The Flames are lacking depth scoring and the couple games got Bennett some confidence and give him back to Jankowski, his normal spot. Stewart plays a similar heavy game to Ferland and has a pretty good shot so he would make a good fillin for Ferland while he is out. Gulutzan gave it two periods and when he needed to pick up the offense in the third he put Bennett back there. 2 goal deficit isn’t a time to panic and change the whole game plan, but they ran into a hot goalie.

I wasn’t impressed with Stewart but I understand the thought process of not disrupting your pairs. GG adjusted when it wasn’t working. Bishop beat our third stringer, can’t complain about the effort. Forget it and move on to the next one.

Really happy to see the emotion from Gulutzan at the refs too. Another terrible night from them trying to control the flow of the game.
