Yes it is, plenty of great players buck this stupid old fashioned trend including Kucherov, Voracek and Patrick Kane. when Stamkos plays the wing he plays LW and he scores a tonne of one timer goals from there.
After watching Gaudreau play a lot of RW at the worlds I've been clamoring to see him there, on the PP he's deadly there but our dumbass coach doesn't see it because he shoots left.
