I'm just really relieved.

I didn't want any top prospects moved, it wouldn't make sense. Moving picks when you have a young core and a deep prospect base does make sense (Hamonic trade) because with the guys carrying the mail being 20-24 you need guys 19-21 to take a step and add to it.

An 18 year old taken this June in the 16-22 hole is very unlikely to see the light of the NHL for the next three seasons.

So keep the inventory, be patient with the core, and don't go foolishly all in with a season that has been quite odd to date.

And given what Treliving could have spent a first round pick on at this deadline, I'm suddenly much happier with the Hamonic deal.
