TSN said we won the 2009 deadline, so who gives a flying frack what they think. They just want and like the big splashy moves.
This year has been disappointing to me given that the Flames aren't home and cool with a playoff spot and without a 1st or 2nd round pick, but I think the Flames should be patient and not make any rash moves.
Internal growth and maybe the addition of a solid top 6 or 9 winger in the off season, and this team could be poised to take that next step hopefully.
Winnipeg was painfully patient and it looks to have paid off.
Florida wasn't and they have crashed back down to the basement after firing what looks to be a top 3 or 4 coach in the league, and making some questionable player/personnel moves.
