Seems like the draft is when Tre likes to go looking for a big deal. If scoring ends up being the Flames shortfall in this last stretch then I can definitely see him going out and getting that Hoffman like piece in June.

To build on your post, Treliving said the deadline is where a lot of things start. He mentioned the Hamonic trade started a couple years ago at the deadline. It will be interesting to keep an eye out for Dorian and Treliving at the draft.
