Its a pretty fun environment. It can be really chill and suddenly the newsroom(the area in the background of Sportscentre) can explode. I remember when the Leafs fired their coach, things got pretty crazy. Or nothing like having your highlight pack ready to go for SportsCentre and suddenly there are like 3 goals in a couple minutes and it just gets ruined.

Trade deadline day was fun because the lead up to it, you have to create highlight packs of pretty much every player with the slightest chance of moving. I was assigned the Jets and pretty much had to listen to their radio feeds all day and get good interview clips. They treat it as kind of a holiday there bringing in lots of food.

Its pretty fun putting together a pack. Had to do a lot of research on the game leading up to it and find the storyline you are trying to write for it. My first pack was a soccer game where a player was playing his final game of his career and he scored in the 90th minute, so those are fun to work on. Other times you get a game where nothing happens and its a struggle to put together 30 seconds. Sometimes you get the heads up of a trade about ten minutes early too. I was there for the Rene Bourque - Cammalleri swap.

Fun environment to work in because its about 50% hardcore leafs fans, and the other 50% get super sick of it and hate them so its cool. Non-stop sports talk all the time.
