To me, the "right price" would be (a) a high pick for (b) guy they can't re-sign and don't need for the PO push or (c) can be easily replaced for the PO push.
I'm uninterested in late picks because they have such a slim chance of being even AHL players. And I'm not shipping out anyone useful because the Flames are in the POs right now and a good bet to get in. Just because Rasmus might be able to play in Stone's place doesn't mean that you should move Stone for a chance for an NHL player on your roster in four years. Who goes into the POs with just the bare minimum of defencemen on their team.
