23 man roster limits were lifted at midnight, which means teams can have more than 23 players on the NHL roster as long as they stay compliant with the salary cap. 
 
Also of note, players need to be assigned to the AHL by 3pm ET to be eligible for the AHL playoffs or to even be sent back to the AHL for the rest of the season.  Might see some paper transactions here.
