It honestly doesn’t make sense for us to enter a legitimate bidding war when we’re missing how many draft picks, 1 first rounder and 3 seconds? Like why sell the farm when we’re not contenders for a cup?
Boston, Tampa, Nashville, Winnipeg, Las Vegas, Washington and Pittsburgh. These are the true contenders, why outbid them when we don’t even have the picks? It’d be absolutely foolish.

This may be the first time in a few weeks I actually agree with what you are saying haha
But yeah I don't see the flames making a big splash, Kane would demand more in salary than the flames internally want to pay and i doubt there's much appetite to part with our good prospects.
Hopefully tre can drive up the prices or at least keep teams tied up until the deadline passes uneventfully
