The more I think about it, the more I think Treliving is just entering the discussion to drive up the price. I think he’s heard San Jose was in the mix and so why not throw your hat in there too to make things more expensive for your rivals.
It honestly doesn’t make sense for us to enter a legitimate bidding war when we’re missing how many draft picks, 1 first rounder and 3 seconds? Like why sell the farm when we’re not contenders for a cup?
Boston, Tampa, Nashville, Winnipeg, Las Vegas, Washington and Pittsburgh. These are the true contenders, why outbid them when we don’t even have the picks? It’d be absolutely foolish.
