52 point pace vs 53 point pace over the last 2 years. Backlund is a year younger, and arguably a driver on his line that he centers.
The bigger issue is Okposo's lack of production at even strength. He has 20 even strength points this year, 22 last year. Compare that to Backlund's 25 even strength this year and 35 year last year. While not contributing defensively nearly as much Backlund.
He plays with Eichel, O'Reilly and Reinhart on the PP on a stacked first unit power play (which was actually the very best in the league last year).
Okposo has benefit from playing with two top tier centers in the league and has really only shown to be capable of producing (at least in terms of his contract) on their wing.
Away from Tavares and Eichel his offensive stats are really really crappy for a 6M offensive player.
