I think you’re wrong. Kane has quite the rap sheet going for him including allegations on sexual assault, assaulting women, fights with teammates and etc etc et . It’s not just a couple hokey pictures.
I’d bet that the Sean Avery’s, the Matt Cooke’s and etc would elicit similar levels of vitriol if situations were swapped.
