And thus any trade for Okposo or ROR or even Kane would obviously have extranneous salaries like Stone, Brouwer, and/or Frolik going the other way.



Well, no. You are comparing what is probably a solid first liner to what was probably at his absolute best a solid 3rd liner, who are signed through to the same age at the end of their deals. Even factoring in a sudden decline you'd have a serviceable top 9 forward in the final years, which is a worst case scenario.

That's a bad contract now with the potential to be terrible looking at our upcoming cap landscape.
