Ferland for a 2nd Round Pick (He's a 20 goal scorer right now and can play a rugged, hard hitting style of play which definitely helps in the playoffs. Kane currently also has 20 goals and Sabres want a 1st + more for him, and Ryan freakin Reeves was traded for a 1st round pick lol, so Ferland can definitely be traded for a second)
Frolik for a 3rd + decent prospect
Versteeg for a 4th Round Pick
Stajan for a 6th Round Pick
Brouwer for a 6th or 7th Round Pick (We retain $1 million in salary for the next 2 years)
Fair or no?
Then we go hard after Tavares in the off season, and PERHAPS Kane if the price and term are right (around $6 mill x 5 years). As well and trying to trade for Stone using some of these replenished picks + picks we currently have + prospects

Definitely don't disagree with this at all. But I think Flames can either get more for Ferland, or keep him.
They can stay competitive right now in losing the other mentioned players with regaining picks/prospects.
Just hope Tre doesn't go all in trading quality assets for a mediocre goalie or 3rd line winger.
