I guess it depends on what assets, but I think it would be worth looking into. If they needed the money to keep Karlsson, would it be worth throwing in their 1st?
I am not an expert on their financial or cap situation, but if they needed the room, I would think keeping Karlsson is worth a 1st rounder.
FWIW, I know someone who gets to hang around with the Sens and he said Ryan is very popular among his peers and is the nicest pro-hockey player off the ice he has ever met.
Personally, I would take my chances with Ryan over Kane.
