I believe the vision for Alberta's high-speed rail is Downtown Edmonton -> YEG -> Red Deer -> YYC -> Downtown Calgary.

Each stop costs more than the time the train is not moving though, there's the acceleration/deceleration to account for as well. So screw Airdrie/Leduc, they can use the airport stops.
