Given what this season is shaping up as (playoffs maybe but not necessarily a deep run), I’d rather the Flames stand pat than deal for the sake of dealing. Likely, we’re at least one more (if not two) season(s) away from the “big push”.
Let’s see what some of these AHL guys knocking on the door can do in training camp next year. Maybe some of these guys make some current roster guys expendable-but maybe not. Point is that we have time still to figure out how best to flesh-out this core.
