For me though, ridding our self of Brouwer’s contract and his cement feet for a right winger who can still skate, score and make plays sounded pretty enticing. I read Eric Duhatschek’s recent article on the Athletic and he softened me on the idea about bringing in Bobby Ryan.
At the end of the day, with how few assets we have. All and any creative ideas that can improve the team should be explored.

Bobby Ryan is not a very good skater anymore either and even when he was younger he never really had any more than very average speed.
