Listened to an interview on the weekend with Andrew Weaver, Green Party leader in BC. Talk about a hypocrite. Started out talking about how the world needs to transition from fossil fuels which is not unexpected. But he also said that they were not opposed to KM if it was transporting refined products, just not bitumen. So I guess tankers spilling diesel, gasoline, or crude are acceptable just not bitumen. He also stated that there were refineries in Atlantic Canada capable of taking bitumen and efforts should be focused on getting the product there. So I guess it is also acceptable tot he Greens to pipe it through Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick. Just not BC.
