There's a pretty clear group of posters that I would suggest enjoy trash talking the team following a loss more than they seem to enjoy when we win.

Totally agree. Man oh man, I've been here for like two seasons now and I've never seen discussion as toxic as it's been here lately. Even when I first joined the site and I was (rightfully) being piled on for some ridiculous posts, it wasn't as unreadable and disappointing as some of the drivel I read here.
According to this site, the Flames have exactly three NHL-calibre players: Gaudreau, Tkachuk, and Smith. Monahan? He doesn't drive the play or defend. Backlund? He's slow and sucks with the puck and we shouldn't re-sign him. Frolik? Causes injuries and is somehow overpaid. Bennett? Barely AHL-calibre, can't do anything. Jankowski? Looking more and more like a bust. Hamilton? Doesn't drive the play and is soft. Giordano? Too old and his contract is awful. Stajan? Worst player in Flames history, so slow. Hamonic? Slow, worse than Engelland. And don't even get me started on Brodie.
It's painful to sift through sometimes.
