You’re right, maybe it was an off game or what have you. But from what I saw, I definitely didn’t like the subtles to Zack Smith’s game. I can see why he’s struggled mightily to score this season based on years past. Hoffman can still be a big time game breaker, but I liked everything about Dzingel’s game.
Maybe I’ll get ripped for this, but sometimes I think all you need is one game to see what the type of ability a player possesses. Things like their skating stride, agility, the way they protect the puck, the way they turn and pivot, hockey sense, vision. There’s a lot of things you can see in one game. I remember watching guys like Gio, or Johnny, or Subban, or Nylander, Ehlers, Boeser and etc. You watch them once and you know they have IT.
