If you use the same rubric for both players but fine the mean between their icetime which (visually calculated) approximately 3.30+ toi/ for Domi over Bennett but.. Bennet has 4 more goals on the season than Domi and is playing around 25% over 55+ games. Bennett 18 pts and Domi 29 pts with a much worse plus minus I believe..

And Bennett is one year younger, went higher in the draft, plays Center and Wing, plays physical and could become offensively dominant, desire to be “the guy” a bit.

Add these intangibles in and I think Bennett actuallly becomes fair value for Domi if not slight over pay.

Wouldn’t mind grabbing Dvorak From AZ to see if he can reignite some magic with tkachuk. What’s his value these days?
Plus minus is a garbage stat and should hold very little weight.

Domi doesn't play a physical game? Domi doesn't have a desire to be 'the guy'? If Sam wants to be the guy, he sure has a funny way of showing it. Taking a holding penalty 200ft from your own net with 8 mins left in a tie game on the road while your team is in a dead heat to make the playoffs doesn't really scream 'I'm the guy'. How are you measuring these intangibles, or are you just dreaming?

Again, Domi's 52 point rookie season is head and shoulders over anything Sam Bennett has accomplished. At least we know he can do it.
