At 17:05 the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Team take on the home team of South Korea, this should be on TSN 3, 4, & 5.
Huge chance for some medals at 18:00 in the Men’s Slopestyle Event which will take place on Sportsnet 1. Tyler Nicholson will be the 3rd boarder to go, Sebastien Toutant will go 7th, Mark McMorris will go 10th, and Max Parrot will be the 12th and final boarder to go. If anyone missed the qualifying jumps or isn’t familiar with this event give it a watch as it can be incredibly entertaining.
On TSN at 18:00 the Ice Dancing Short Program of the Team Figure Skating Event will begin. Canada’s flagbearers Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir will be the 9th team to skate.
At 19:00 the Alpine Skiing Men’s Downhill Event will begin, and it seems like it will be shown on CBC. Manuel Osborne-Paradis of Invermere BC competes in his 4th Olympic games. Jack Crawford and Broderick Thompson make their Olympic debuts while Ben Thomsen is competing for the second time.
The Women’s Short Program of the Team Figure Skating begins at 19:45. Canada’s Kaetlyn Osmond will be the 9th skater in the event and this will be available to be seen on TSN. At 21:40 the Pairs Free Skate in the Team Figure Skating will begin.
At 21:30 the Qualification for the Ladies’ Slopestyle will begin on Sportsnet 1. Brooke Voight of Fort McMurray will be competing in her first Olympic games. Spencer O’Brien will be competing in her 2nd Olympics. 21 year old Laurie Blouin will be boarding in her first Olympics, Blouin won the Gold Medal in this event at last year’s FIS World Championships.
23:15 sees the Men’s 30km Skiathlon take place. Graeme Killick of Fort McMurray and Russell Kennedy of Canmore are the two Albertans competing in this event. They’re joined by fellow Canadians Jesse Cockney, Alex Harvey, Knute Johnsgaard, Devon Kershaw, and Len Valjas in the race. This doesn’t seem like it will be televised but will be available to be streamed.
At 00:00 the Men’s 5000m Speed Skating event will take place on Sportsnet. Ted-Jan Bloeman who moved to Calgary in 2014 from The Netherlands will be skating for Canada.
On TSN at 00:40 Finland takes on the USA in Women’s Hockey.
The second chance for Chloe Dufour-Lapointe to qualify to qualify for the Final of the Women’s Freestyle will take place at 03:30.
The 3rd run of the Men’s Singles Luge begins at 04:00 on Sportsnet. 22-year-old Calgarian Mitchel Malyk is competing in his second Olympics after finishing 26th in Sochi. Sam Edney of Calgary participates in his 4th Olympics, his best finish being 7th place in 2010. 19-year-old Reid Watts of Vancouver is making his Olympic debut in this event. Following the 3rd Run the 4th and final run will take place where the medals will be decided.
At 04:15 the Men’s 10km Sprint Biathlon Event will be taking place on TSN2.
The Final of the Women’s Freestyle Skiing Moguls will begin at 05:00 and should be carried live in entirety on TSN. Canadian Andi Naude finished in 2nd place following the initial qualifying run, and defending Gold Medalist Justine Dufour-Lapointe qualified in the 4th spot. Huge opportunity for a medal right here.
Starting at 05:10 the Canadian Women’s Hockey Team begins their journey to win Canada’s 5th straight Gold Medal in the event. Canada will be taking on the Olympic Athletes from Russia and the game should be on CBC.
