Going .500 on this eastern road trip should be, and likely is in the dressing room, the goal. The team historically stinks it out on these trips - that doesn't seem to be happening here. Its a good sign.
To beat the dead horse ... if it takes 100 points to make the playoffs in the West and the Flames miss by 2 or 3 points .... i will be remembering the stinkers we delivered to the Sabres and Oilers not too long ago ... those will be the reasons we missed out.

I disagree. I don't think it's unreasonable to have higher expectations when they went out and spent significant assets to improve the blueline and goaltending. I don't think it's unrealistic for fans to expect our 4th overall pick to improve year to year either.
I expected better out of this team. I still do.
And if their goal on this road trip is anything less than winning every game they're in the wrong business. I'd be very disappointed if they were aiming for .500. They're better than that, even with their flaws.
