Expectations for the current Flames roster on CP are way too high in the eyes of many posters. Those who consistently vent frustration are IMHO probably them same folks who picked us #1 in the Division this season. Those who are more measured in their responses to the highs and lows of this team, are probably those who envisioned the Flames right where they are. On the playoff line.
Going .500 on this eastern road trip should be, and likely is in the dressing room, the goal. The team historically stinks it out on these trips - that doesn't seem to be happening here. Its a good sign.
To beat the dead horse ... if it takes 100 points to make the playoffs in the West and the Flames miss by 2 or 3 points .... i will be remembering the stinkers we delivered to the Sabres and Oilers not too long ago ... those will be the reasons we missed out.
