Nobody hates Bennett. But at this point, relative to the expectations of him, he is a bust. It's time to admit it.
He'll still be a serviceable NHL-er, but he'll never be an impact, top 6 forward. He hasn't shown anything he will.
That said, before trading him, I'd like to see him under a new coach.
