Apparently the problems kept on going. The first cut of Star Wars was also totally non-sensical and awful. So Guinness not liking the original script, was probably justified as it was apparently awful and had little in common with the finished project.

I still loved the scene where Obi-Wan meets Luke for the first time and admits he's Obi-Wan.



And also when he talks about the Jedi Knights.



TBH, Alec Guiness was the Ian McDarmid of the OT.
