A bit more than I expected them to give him, but the reasoning makes good sense... particularly when they factor in the instigator aspect and the punches to the back of the head, which weren't as clear on the replay I'd watched. So clearly they're suspending him for more than just the knees. The DOPS has gotten better over the years at explaining these decisions, I think.
Also, "we disagree with his interpretation" is a pretty diplomatic way of saying "you're completely full of ####."
