Dunno where you get that impression. I remember when the Vanek signing was announced, and all the Detroit fans on Reddit were expressing that it was a great deal and they'd love him back. Florida... not so much.
Vanek will never be a Flame under this regime but I'd welcome him here with open arms.... he's a fantastic player.
